Chart: Louisville Home Sales through July: 6 Year Comparison

Chart of Jefferson County Home Sales by Month through July 2012

The Louisville home sales chart above covers the previous 6 years and takes into consideration homes sold throughout Jefferson County but not the surrounding counties of Oldham, Shelby, Spencer or Bullitt.

Almost three in a row! In May, 859 homes were sold in Jefferson County, Louisville. June? 859! How about July? 851. So close!

So once again we’re met with a solid but not stellar month. The number of homes sold doesn’t “Wow!” you but at least it’s a step in the right direction.

June was better than the last two years, but still behind pre-recession years 2007 and 2009. I’ll take the improvement! With home prices starting to rebound, it’s a positive trend.

Let’s look at how this new data adjusts the yearly totals.

Through the Year

Here’s how the number of sales stack up by year from January through July.

2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012
6496 4984 4378 5092 3607 5001
