According to data taken from the previous platform, there were 554 homes sold during February 2013. Our new platform shows 577 homes sold this February for a 4.2% increase.

GLAR changed their data platform and I believe the numbers will take a while to level out because I do not think February 2014 was better than February 2013.
I find this suspect given the horrendous weather we’ve experienced during February. More likely the change is in the way the data platform is slicing and dicing the numbers. Either that or the reporting query does something differently.
But at least it’s higher, right?
We’ll need a few more months under our belts to feel more secure about how these new numbers are running. With warmer temperatures finally here, perhaps home buyers/sellers will become more active.
Home inventory, as we’ve talked about before, continues to remain quite low.
