Louisville Real Estate Reports for June 2014 – Charts

Map of Louisville MLS AreasWelcome to Louisville real estate reports for June 2014!

Another positive month for Louisville real estate with most areas showing positive results for the month. Two of the monthly surveyed areas actually showed better sales this June than last, which is unexpected.

Values are up in almost all areas, which is most welcome, especially by homeowners looking to get back some of their equity lost during the recession.

If you’d like to see the other Quarterly surveyed areas, I’ve created links to these Louisville MLS Reports:

Louisville Real Estate Reports (period ending June 2014)

Charts of Louisville home sales and Louisville home prices for Highlands MLS area 2 for the 12 month period ending June 2014.
Giant spike in home values for Area 2, which is sure to translate into better values when aggregated into the 12-month average. Sales came up just shy of last year but we’ll give them that after beating them in May.

Charts of Louisville home sales and Louisville home prices for St. Matthews MLS area 3 for the 12 month period ending June 2014.
Great month for home sales as June even beat the previous year! This is one of the only areas in the city to do that. Louisville home prices are also doing quite well here as you can see from the trend line’s steady move higher.

Charts of Louisville home sales and Louisville home prices for Okolona MLS area 6 for the 12 month period ending June 2014.
Good month for this area as both metric looks to be positive with sales just missing last year’s mark and values moving up, even if they’re not spiking they are better than they were.

Charts of Louisville home sales and Louisville home prices for Jeffersontown MLS area 7 for the 12 month period ending June 2014.
Decent but not a great month for this area as sales are decent for an area this size. Prices are less volatile when sample sizes are large but even still, we’re seeing them move sideways rather than up or down.

Charts of Louisville home sales and Louisville home prices for Middletown MLS area 8 for the 12 month period ending June 2014.
Another strong month for Area 8 as sales totals just came up shy of last year’s stellar results. Prices are up as well as the trend is set to move higher as well.

Charts of Louisville home sales and Louisville home prices for Prospect MLS area 9 for the 12 month period ending June 2014.
Area 9 is performing quite well with both increased sales and a couple of really nice months for home prices. Very positive!

Charts of Louisville home sales and Louisville home prices for North Oldham County MLS area 20 for the 12 month period ending June 2014.
Home prices are doing better here than in the South portion of Oldham as the recent increase are likely to move the trend line even higher. Sales are good but just came up shy of last June.

Charts of Louisville home sales and Louisville home prices for South Oldham County MLS area 21 for the 12 month period ending June 2014.
Looks like home values continue to slide in this area overall but at least we’re getting a seasonal boost in the Summer months. This is one of the only areas where home sales beat the previous year.
