Welcome to Louisville real estate reports for July 2014!
Home sales activity through the surveyed areas was quite strong, as you would hope, in July. Home value were also up in most MLS areas, which happens to be a seasonal phenomenon, but a positive one still.
Oldham County actually surpassed last home sales for the month, which is a bit of a pleasant surprise, and one that bodes well going forward.
Overall, a solid (or better month) for real estate in Louisville, Kentucky.
Louisville Real Estate Reports (period ending July 2014)
Home prices aren’t quite as high as last month but continue to move the trend upward. Home sales were a bit of a disappointment in July.
105 homes were sold in Area 3 during July last year. This year? 104. So close! Very good month for sales activity and values keep moving higher.
Home sales in July fell off a bit after a mighty June for this Louisville MLS area but still respectable. Values are still higher than the trend for the second month.
Solid month for Area 7 in July with prices staying up and total number of homes sold just shy of last year’s mark, yet still beating June.
Apparently, a bunch of the homes sold in this area took place in June rather than July. Is that a thing? Where certain geographic areas sell earlier in the Summer than others? If so, it’s news to me.
Prices are up big, as you’d expect during the Summer months, but sales activity is still quite good, just barely falling short of last July’s home sales total.
July home sales surpassed the previous year and sold home prices in this part of Oldham County continue to remain above the trend line.
Strong month for Oldham County in July, especially in this portion where prices were up and home sales actually outpaced the same month last year. With fewer units that’s making a statement.
