Louisville Housing Market Reports for September 2010

As you would expect with school starting, home sales have dropped in every area with Area 9 being the strongest. The bigger problem is that the level on some of these areas is extremely low, almost anemic. Hardest hit are Areas 6 & 20.

The bright spot is the home values are improving in most areas. This means for buyers looking to get a good deal on a new home, time is working against you. • Louisville KY Housing Report: Area 2: Butchertown/Highlands/Germantown
  Sales desperately poor while home values continue upward trend.
• Louisville KY Housing Report: Area 3: Clifton/Crescent Hill/St. Matthews
  Transactions continue to decline but get a bump.

  Home sales continue to drop as values get a small boost.

  Transactions same as previous two months. Home prices take a dip.

  Home sales down as values trend unexpectedly higher.

  Transactions only slightly down from same month previous year. Home prices drop down to trend line.

  Home sales are drastically lower as values remain the same.

  Sales continue slide as home prices are even on trend line.
