Louisville home sales comparison through August 2014

So it’s official. The Louisville home sales comparison numbers are in for August. There were 1,018 properties sold during August 2014. This number comes up short compared to last August when 1,128 homes were sold. This is a decline of 9.8%.

Here are all the comparison numbers for the first eight months of the year.

Other than in June, each month trailed the previous year, some quite significantly. Even still, it’s a better real estate market than where we were during 2009-11.

As we head into the Fall and then Winter months, sales will continue to decline. Home prices are also starting their seasonal retreat as some Louisville homeowners start to plan for next year’s selling season.
